As many of you may already know, Greenpeace has called on the European Union to ban the use of phthalates in adult novelties. Phthalates are found in many products including cosmetics, toys, flooring, adhesives, wallpaper, furniture, raincoats and shower curtains. Phthalates are plasticizers used to soften PVC and other plastics and are banned from use in children’s toys in Europe and the U.S. due to concern over toxicity.

Since this issue may concern you (a significant percentage of adult products are still made with phthalates), we wanted to reassure you that at Big Teaze Toys, our products have always been Phthalate-Free. We also make our products free of latex, cadmium, lead and other heavy metals. In fact, our products meet the same stringent European chemical safety standards as are required for children’s toys. Though it is more expensive, from the day we started our business, we made the commitment to meet a higher safety and quality standard than the requirements currently made on adult pleasure products. We believe it is critical to create products that are not only fun, but also safe for both the user and our environment.
